Brandon Webb hurled seven solid innings, outdueling Derek Lowe, as the Arizona Diamondbacks topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-0, in the third test of a key four-game series at Chase Field on Wednesday night. Webb (8-5), last year's National League Cy Young Award winner, scattered seven hits, walked five and struck out three. The 28-year-old is now 7-3 in 12 career starts versus the Dodgers.Chad Tracy hit a sacrifice fly and Eric Byrnes singled in a run for Arizona, which dropped the first two games of this series but moved into a virtual tie with San Diego atop the NL West, a half-game in front of Los Angeles. The Diamondbacks paid -139 on the moneyline (meaning a winning wager of $139 would yield a $100 profit). Lowe (8-7) was the hard-luck loser, yielding two runs – one earned – on five hits over 6.2 innings. He walked three, fanned four and was hurt by the Dodgers' lackluster offense, which was 0-for-13 with runners in scoring position. L.A. left 13 men on base. "I didn't have very good stuff and I was fortunate my defense made up for my mistakes," Webb said. For complete MLB odds for Thursday, visit the Bodog Sportsbook.
