Oh dear god. Just when you thought it was safe to assume that Brett Favre was going to keep his retired ass on the sofa this season…the old fart decides to take another kick at the can…with the Minnesota Vikings. At least that's what they're saying now.

FOXSports.com reported yesterday that Favre was on his way to St. Paul to meet with Vikings head coach Brad Childress, confirming previous suspicions that he was coming out of retirement AGAIN and signing with Minnesota. Then today we learn through numerous reports that the 39-year-old has in fact boarded a plane for St. Paul and is expected to sign a deal by tonight.

So much for thinking that you could finally sink your teeth into a Favre-less football season, hey? Will anyone give a rat's ass when he hangs it up for real?
