This weekend, I lost $7.75 betting on Dan Henderson to beat Anderson Silva. It looked like a solid wager. After all, Henderson, with a strong wrestling background, good chin and right hand spawned by the devil himself, seemed like the perfect opponent to take away Silva's belt.

However, all that fell to the wayside when Silva reversed a takedown and exposed Henderson's weakness: jiu-jitsu. Immediately after Henderson tapped out, I got a text message from my friend that said, "Start counting your dimes."

It was a humiliating defeat, both for Henderson and myself. Now, while Henderson heads back to the gym to work on his submission defense and I pay off my debts in the most obscure currency I can find, the rest of the world wonders: Can anyone beat Anderson Silva?

Here are the names that mixed martial arts fans are throwing around:

Yushin Okami

Realistically, Okami is the only fighter left in the UFC middleweight roster who still has a shot at the title. It's even marketable, since Okami was the last man to "defeat" Silva in January 2006 at Rumble on the Rock 8. The win came about when Silva up-kicked Okami to the face while the Japanese fighter was kneeling in his guard and knocked him out. Yushin woke up to the good news that he'd won the fight, thanks to disqualification for the illegal kick.
