This is not what you need in the heat of a playoff chase.
The Denver Nuggets received news Monday morning that All-Star small forward Carmelo Anthony was arrested at 4 a.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a report from Denver Police.
Anthony, who is averaged 25.8 points per game this season, was pulled over in his silver Mercedes after failing to drive in a single lane or dim his lights. He was given a Breathalyzer on site, arrested, released on bond later in the morning and scheduled for a summons appearance on May 14th.
Results of an additional blood test (taken as well) will not be available for two weeks. Anthony's attorney, Dan Recht, confirmed that there was no accident and that nobody was hurt.
