Chad Johnson remains in hospital in Buffalo after hurting his neck in the Cincinnati Bengals' game against the Bills.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis did report some good news about the star receiver: Johnson was only taken to the hospital as a precaution and has movement in all his extremities.
Johnson was hurt when he was caught between Buffalo's Donte Whitner and Coy Wire while attempting a diving catch late in the Bengals' loss to the Bills. The game was delayed for about 10 minutes while Johnson lay on the field with concerned players and fans looking on.
The Bills have no doubt seen enough scary injuries for the season. On Sept. 9, tight end Kevin Everett sustained a fracture and dislocation of his cervical spine that doctors characterized as "life-threatening."
Everett has since showed great improvement in his condition and has been relocated to Houston, near his family and off-season home, where he will begin a long rehabilitation that doctors believe will lead to his eventually walking again.
