After winning the gold medal in the individual saber competition, China's Man Zhong helped boost China's gold medal count, putting them in the top position with 13 total gold medals. Team U.S.A is trailing in second place with seven gold medals. China's men’s gymnastics team won the gold Monday night. Japan won silver, while the U.S. won bronze. China has won three silver medals and four bronze medals to give them a medal count of 20 thus far. Team U.S.A's Michael Phelps won his third gold medal Monday night, setting a world record and Olympic record in the 400-meter individual medley in 4 minutes, 3.84 seconds.
