Chris "Beanie" Wells Out Vs. Ohio This Saturday

The Ohio State Buckeyes were dealt a bit of a blow Thursday when Jim Tressel announced that star running back Chris "Beanie" Wells will not be playing this Saturday. Luckily they'll be facing Ohio and not USC.

"Beanie won't go this week," Tressel said Thursday afternoon. "I feel good about his progress, but it wasn't enough progress to practice through yesterday."

The Buckeyes are hoping Wells will be available on Sept. 13, when they take on the USC Trojans. Tressel said he's not worried about Wells appearing in that game… yet.

"No, not at all. Not at all. But that's easy to say today."

The Ohio State faces Ohio at 12 p.m. ET on Sat. on ESPN.
