Chris Paul dropped 29 points, 16 assists, 10 rebounds and three steals on the Oklahoma Thunder on Saturday, no wonder the Hornets walked away with a 109-97 victory.

Despite 30 from Kevin Durant the visitors could not keep up as the Hornets advanced to 7-5 on the season whle the Thunder are – gulp – 1-13.

David West led all scorers with 33 points, adding eight points in the effort.

Elsewhere in the NBA, Shaquille O'Neal and Greg Oden did battle for the first time, with the elder of the two running the show.

Nineteen points and 17 boards from Shaq led the Suns over Brandon Roy's 26.
