Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell (20-5-0) thinks his Dec. 29 fight with Wanderlei Silva (31-7-1) at "UFC 79: Nemesis" should be just the thing to end his losing streak.

"I hit hard and have a longer reach than him, and he's fighting on emotion," Liddell tells The Fight Network. "He comes forward. That's what he knows, and I tend to do better with opponents like that."

Both Liddell and Silva are coming off devastating losses, with "The Iceman" dropping back to back matches to Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (29-6-0) and Keith Jardine (13-3-1). Silva has not fought since losing by knockout to Dan Henderson (22-6-0) in Feb. 07.

According to Liddell, Silva's hot-blooded nature makes him the perfect opponent. "When you have a guy that fights on emotion, it's hard to teach him something new," Liddell says. "It's harder for a fighter like him to stick to a gameplan, when a single punch can take him out of it. You can hit him, and he'll go right back into what he knows and feels comfortable with."
