In one of the few positive stories to come from this tumultuous NFL offseason, it appears as though LeCharles Bentley has finally got his career on track.
The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that former Pro Bowl center has passed his physical and will rejoin the team. It's a great day for Bentley who - after signing a six-year, $36-million contract in 2006 - has missed the last two seasons after tearing apart his knee and undergoing two major surgeries.
Bentley suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee while blocking former teammate Ted Washington during the first day of training camp in 2006. After season-ending surgery, Bentley came down with a staph infection that required another surgery and he was never able to find his way back to the field.
How will Bentley's return affect Cleveland this season? Currently, the Browns are listed at 28/1 to win the 2009 Super Bowl…get all your NFL Football Futures in the Bodog Sportsbook today!
