Calhoun hit the 800-win mark in Wednesday’s 93-82 triumph at hobbling Marquette (+1).
Brey is 240-128 lifetime in stints at Maryland and Notre Dame, and he’s the reigning two-time Big East Coach of the Year, but there won’t be a third in 2009. True, the Irish have won four of their last five to inch closer to the NCAA Tournament bubble, but getting in would be a travesty of justice. Notre Dame was 2-3 ATS during that span, coughing up the cash at home to USF (+13.5) and Rutgers (+14).
The Huskies (-2) beat Notre Dame 69-61 last month in South Bend. The Irish defense gets even worse on the road, where the over is a tasty 7-3.
