The West Virginia Mountaineers seek their sixth straight victory tonight when they host the Connecticut Huskies, who appear to have righted themselves after a surprising loss.

Since losing to Davidson on Dec. 9 while playing without two starters, the Mountaineers have outscored opponents by an average of 26.0 points during their current winning streak. They've given up 55.4 points per game on 38.0 percent shooting during that span, as well as 21.3 from 3-point range.

The Mountaineers also have been playing solid defense, limiting opponents to 56.2 points per game and a Big East-low 53 3-pointers.

Jerome Dyson, Hasheem Thabeet and Jeff Adrien are each averaging at least 14.0 points for Connecticut, which is scoring 81.8 points per game on 49.9 percent shooting. Thabeet is among the nation's leaders with 49 blocked shots.

West Virginia is 4-12 all-time against Connecticut, but won the most recent meeting 78-72 in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament March 13.
