Sitting on top of the polls for the first time in school history, Pitt knocked off St. John’s 90-67 on Saturday. After a slow start, Pitt wore down the undermanned Red Storm to make their case for another week in the top spot.

The whole situation is very new for the Panthers, who have gotten increased attention both on campus and off. The team also expects increased attention and focus from opponents, since the target on its back now is the biggest in the game.

Now they have to keep the ranking and the tests are about to get tougher. Following this week’s home game against South Florida, Pitt plays five games in a row against teams that began last week in the Top 25, with three of those games on the road.

The ACC is ready to pounce on top spot if the Panthers do stumble. Get your college basketball betting with Bodog today.
