College Bowl Predictions: South Florida vs. Memphis – St. Petersburg Bowl

Now they will travel 32 miles to Tropicana Field for the St. Petersburg Bowl on Dec. 20 against the Memphis Tigers.

South Florida dropped five of its last seven games straight-up and posted a disappointing 4-7 mark against-the-spread for the year. Thanks to that they go from dreams of a New Year’s Day date to the letdown of a pre-Christmas game against a non-BCS foe.

The Bulls are a 12-point favorite and many are wondering if they really care enough about this game to beat down a weaker opponent. Or, is the fear of losing in front of a home crowd enough of a motivator?

And can South Florida score enough points to cover the spread in this one?
