The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are 3-point favorites over the Navy Midshipmen; at press time, roughly two-thirds of the betting public was on Wake Forest to beat the spread.

Navy (8-4 SU, 6-5 ATS) won this matchup 24-17 in Week 5 as a 17-point road dog. The rationale behind picking the Deacons (7-5 SU, 6-5 ATS) this time around is threefold: the revenge factor, the extra time WFU has to prepare for Navy’s flexbone offense, and the unlikelihood that QB Riley Skinner will turn the ball over five times (four INTs, one fumble) like he did in September.

That’s all good in theory, but the Midshipmen have covered their last four bowl games in a row, including the last two as big underdogs.
