There isn't much to do for college football players in the offseason. They could lift weights we suppose. Or study. Just kidding. Nah, they'd rather get into trouble.
Let's start with South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia, who was arrested over the weekend for underaged drinking. That makes thee run-ins with the police in the last year or so.
"We just have to wait and see," coach Steve Spurrier said. "His fate is out of my hands. … He's had a lot of chances here, and we'll see what happens."
In Missouri, linebacker Marquis Booker is off the team after his arrest on a possible weapons violation. It seems he threatened to "light the place up" after an argument at an apartment complex.
Finally, over to West Virginia where stellar running back Noel Divine was arrested a couple weeks ago on misdemeanor battery charges along with Mountaineer teammates Eain Smith, Brantwon Bowser and Jockee Sanders. Each played pleaded no contest. The charges had something to do with an altercation outside a place called Club Z in Morgantown.
