Texas held off the Oklahoma State Cowboys 28-24 on Saturday to retain the top spot in college football’s BCS rankings. But the ‘Horns failed to cash in as 12-point home faves, their first ATS loss of the season.

Oklahoma State (7-1 SU, 7-0 ATS) sticks around at No. 9 on the BCS rankings, down from No. 6 last week. The Top 5 is untouched: Texas, followed by Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma and USC. The Nittany Lions (9-0 SU, 6-1-1 ATS) made the biggest statement of the five by going on the road and beating Ohio State 13-6 as 1.5-point favorites.

The mid-majors are climbing the rankings, led by the No. 10 Utah Utes (8-0 SU, 4-2-1 ATS) of the Mountain West Conference. The MWC also offers Texas Christian (8-1 SU, 6-2 ATS) at lucky No. 13. Get your college football odds in the Bodog Sportsbook.
