The No. 14 Ball State Cardinals (9-0 SU, 7-1 ATS) are the most profitable team in the conference; sadly, the Miami-Ohio RedHawks (2-7 SU, 3-4 ATS) failed to show up to the party.
Miami U is 3-1 SU and ATS in the last four meetings with Ball State. But this has been a rough season for the RedHawks. They were expected to go bowling somewhere this winter; instead, a poor defensive front seven (173.2 rushing yards allowed per game) and mediocre quarterbacking (105.38 passer rating) have put the kibosh on those plans.
The Cardinals, on the other hand, are in line behind undefeated Utah and Boise State for a spot in a BCS bowl. Ball State has excelled in every aspect of the game; we’ll see just how good this team is when ESPN2’s coverage starts at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday.
