There’ll be plenty of football bets placed on the spread for Saturday’s Illinois-Ohio State game, especially if Fighting Illini quarterback Juice Williams is healthy.

Williams is probable with a thigh injury for Illinois, which meets a Buckeyes team that’s struggled to cover at the Horseshoe lately.

No. 13 Ohio State is only 2-7 ATS in its last nine home games, while Illinois is 6-2 against the number in the last eight meetings between the teams.

The Buckeyes warmed up for the Illini with a 38-0 waxing of Toledo last week, as they cashed easily despite giving 22 points to their overmatched opponents.

Illinois has a lot to prove after falling 37-9 to Missouri (+6.5) in its opener. The Illini rocked Division II Illinois State (+33) 45-17 last week, but such a win will barely cause a ripple in the minds of sharp handicappers.
