It wasn’t their best game by any means, but the Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0 SU, 7-3 ATS) bounced LSU 27-21 in overtime last week to hold onto the No. 1 spot in the polls. (Wikimedia Image)

Alabama also cashed in as a 3-point road chalk. The Tide will be laying a lot more points at home Saturday versus Mississippi State (3-6 SU, 3-5 ATS). This is a primetime matchup on ESPN kicking off at 7:45 p.m. Eastern; live betting is on the menu.

The Bulldogs have taken their last two encounters with the Tide, both as underdogs. Miss State is on a 6-2 ATS run against Alabama despite winning only three games; the under is also on a 6-2 run when these two SEC opponents clash. The Bulldogs will have the benefit of the bye week as they visit Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa; Alabama is 2-3 ATS at home.
