The No. 23 Vanderbilt Commodores (5-1 SU and ATS) dropped their first game of the season last week at Mississippi State (+1.5). Now they have to go to Athens to deal with the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs (5-1 SU, 2-2-1 ATS), who are trying to get back into the BCS Championship picture after falling to Alabama (+6) on Sept. 27.

The ‘Dores aren’t expected to survive this matchup. Georgia is a mighty 14.5-point home favorite Saturday afternoon (12:30 p.m. ET); last week, the Bulldogs beat Tennessee 26-14 at home, but failed to cash in as 13-point faves. Vanderbilt has been playing at a much higher level than the Volunteers. In terms of Game Efficiency, Georgia is No. 25 in the FBS, Vanderbilt is No. 26 and Tennessee is No. 72. Vandy equals value.
