The way the Northern Illinois Huskies have been playing they must miss having games on the weekend. (pbase Image)

Tonight they will play their third straight midweek game when they travel to Kent State. The last two midweek games led to frustrating defeats where the defense allowed 78 points in losses to Ball State and Central Michigan to spoil the momentum from a three-game winning streak.

The task is simple this week against the Golden Flashes: Stop Julien Edelman. The Kent State quarterback is a dual threat, leading the Golden Flashes in rushing, passing, total offense, and scoring.

The Huskies still have an outside chance for a bowl bid, and the Golden Flashes are ready to spoil that with a victory.

Northern Illinois is 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings, but before laying down your money keep in mind the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these teams. Get your NCAA football odds in the Bodog Sportsbook.
