The college football season gets underway tonight with an ACC-SEC matchup down in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The N.C. State Wolfpack will take on the South Carolina Gamecocks in their opener for the second straight season.

A year ago, the Pack got roasted 34-0 by the Gamecocks in a game that was painful to watch for South Carolina fans. Russell Wilson got knocked out of the game with a concussion.

State is looking for a better outcome this time around, and the Wolfpack think that last year's experience can only help.

The fortunes of South Carolina appear to be squarely on the shoulders of sophomore quarterback Stephen Garcia. The departures of WR Kenny Mckinley and TE Jared Cook won't help an offense that led the nation in interceptions a year ago.
