This is not one of KSU’s better years. The Flashes are on their second straight awful season after going 3-9 SU (2-9 ATS) in 2007. And they’ll be underdogs during Wednesday night’s matchup with the Temple Owls (3-6 SU, 6-2-1 ATS).

At 2-3, Temple is only one game ahead of Kent State in the MAC East, but there’s a gaping chasm between the two in terms of quality. The Owls have hurt their own cause with late collapses against Buffalo (+7) and Navy (+8); Temple also has an overtime loss to Connecticut (+7).  Meanwhile, the Owls defense has improved enough during Al Golden’s tenure to push the under to a 15-6 record. That includes last year’s 24-14 win over the Flashes (-1) on the total of 47.
