College Football Odds: Texas Tech at Kansas State

We’re about to find out whether the No. 8 Texas Tech Red Raiders are indeed all that. They’ve plowed their way to a 4-0 record (1-0-1 ATS), but two of those opponents were from the FCS. The other two were SMU (+36) and Nevada (+10.5). That is a very weak non-conference schedule.

The problem is, the Kansas State Wildcats (3-1 SU, 1-2 ATS) have proved even less up to this point. If anything, their 38-29 loss at Louisville (+5.5) suggests the Wildcats are going to have a very tough time Saturday as 7.5-point home dogs versus the Red Raiders.

One thing we’re certain to see is lots of offense. Texas Tech is scoring 45.8 points per game; Kansas State is even better at 47 points. Neither team defends particularly well, but the Red Raiders have the edge in this department, allowing 4.8 yards per play to KSU’s 5.0 yards.
