Will UCLA's Kahlil Bell save the Bruins' bacon again? (AP Images)

The UCLA Bruins and Arizona State Sun Devils head into their Friday night matchup both coming off victories, which is rare as both teams have only won four games all season.

UCLA took care of Washington State 27-7 two weeks ago despite zero touchdowns and three interceptions from quarterback Kevin Craft. Running back Kahlil Bell saved Kraft by rushing for 97 yards with a pair of touchdowns on 25 carries.

Arizona State recorded a rare shutout of Washington, 31-0, two weeks ago to post their second win in a row. That short two-game streak followed six straight losses, and no one would have guessed that the Sun Devils would still have a shot at a bowl game during that streak. However, they still need a win this week and another one next weekend against rival Arizona.

The Sun Devils edged UCLA 24-20 as a 7-point underdog last season, but in their last five matchups they’re 2-3 against the Bruins. Arizona State did pay off for bettors in those games, though, with a perfect 5-0 ATS mark.
