Let's get the quarterback news out of the way first for Friday's night's Big East game. For WVU, starter Jarrett Brown will be a go after leaving last week's win over Louisville with an ankle injury. And for Cincinnati, red-hot Zach Collaros will start ahead of Tony Pike, who isn't quite 100 percent recovered from an arm injury but will see some snaps. Cincinnati is a 9-point favorite on Bodog's college football odds.

Collaros, a sophomore, just put up a Big East record 555 total yards last week against UConn. He has completed 70 of 89 passes for 1,100 yards with eight touchdowns (one pick) and rushed for 281 yards and four TDs in about 14 quarters since Pike went down. Cincy's offense is third in the country in yards per game.

The WVU offense is struggling behind Brown, a senior. He suffered a concussion in the Mountaineers' sixth game and hasn't really been the same since. In the three starts following, his completion percentage is down 11 points per game and his passing yardage down about 50 per game before the Marshall game. Brown has two touchdowns and three interceptions in his past three games. WVU was averaging 450 yards and 33.4 points during the first five games of the season (scoring at least 30 in every game), but in the past four has averaged only 324 yards and 22 points (scoring 30 in none).

Another key injury to know about before deciding on the college football odds in this one is that WVU star RB Noel Devine will play after also injuring an ankle last week. Devine had five 100-plus yard games in the first seven but has totaled just 98 yards in the past two games. He hasn’t fared well in two career games vs. Cincinnati.

West Virginia leads the all-time series 14-2-1 but the teams have split the past two years.
