College Football Odds: West Virginia at Pittsburgh
![]() |
| It’s pretty safe to say the West Virginia Mountaineers will be looking for some payback when they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Backyard Brawl on Friday night. (Pittsburgh Panthers Image) |
Flash back to a year ago when the Mountaineers were ranked No. 2 in the nation, with a trip to the national championship game in sight and the Panthers coming to town. Pittsburgh was a 28.5-point underdog and they shocked the Mountaineers 13-9, effectively destroying West Virginia’s national title hopes.
This season West Virginia isn’t gunning for a national title, in fact they’re not even ranked, but with Pat White at QB they’re still dangerous. White became the all-time leader in rushing for quarterbacks last week. The Mountaineers’ double-threat has passed for 1,226 yards and rushed for 786 yards this season and he’ll be Pittsburgh’s top priority on Friday.
The Panthers are the top-scoring team in the Big East so they can hang with the Mountaineers, but they’ll be looking for another upset win this week as 3-point underdogs. Get your NCAA football betting in the Bodog Sportsbook.
