In what has been a much-discussed game, Notre Dame’s 34-27 loss last Saturday to USC was its eighth in a row in that traditional rivalry.

Now, the Fighting Irish play host to the Boston College Screaming Eagles in a clash of Catholic schools that has been dominated recently by the Eagles. They have won six in a row in the series.

College football betting odds have Notre Dame listed as 7.5-point favorites.

The Eagles, once known for going on the road and winning, are 0-2 with this young team away from home. They have 14 total first downs and averaged 108.5 yards of total offense. They have been outscored 53-0 in the first three quarters of those two games.

The all-time series is tied at 9-9 with Boston College winning the last meeting 17-0 in 2008.

The underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
