Run the damn ball! That used to be the way to win at college football. It still is for some teams, like the Georgia Bulldogs, who are 7-1 (3-3-1 ATS) on the strength of tailback Knowshon Moreno (6.2 yards per carry, 12 TDs). Moreno’s play earns him an A+ as the best in his class.

Running also still matters in the Big Ten. Michigan State’s Javon Ringer (4.6 YPC, 16 TDs) and Iowa’s Shonn Greene (6.5 YPC, 10 TDs) are having excellent seasons, and Ohio State is competitive with the return to health of Chris "Beanie" Wells (5.4 YPC, four TDs). Give these young gentlemen an A.

Sadly, it looks like the college career of Northwestern senior RB Tyrell Sutton (5.0 YPC, six TDs) will end with an "incomplete" grade. Sutton is expected to have surgery on his injured wrist and might not make it back for bowl season.
