Dallas Mavericks Sign Gerald Green

The Mavericks have made a solid signing on the first day of free agency, locking up third-year guard Gerald Green for the veteran minimum.

Green, a former slam dunk champion, was once considered the next Tracy McGrady when he came to the NBA out of high school in 2005. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 18th pick.

Green has yet to reach his full potential, he's averaged just 8.1 points per game in his career.
