Yeah it must be slow times for ESPN. Why else would the go around annoying NFL head coaches by asking them who the two best NFL referees were.

"None of them," one of the coaches told ESPN.

But not all the coaches held a grudge. Some were very complimentary of many of the refs, including Bills head coach Dick Jauron.

"The guys that I think are really good, and I must say that most of our guys are really good, they don't impose themselves on the game," she said. "You don't necessarily notice them. The game is under control. And when there are any issues, they get to you quickly and they explain them, and they explain them in a way that you understand."

Out of the poll two particular referees, Ed Hochuli and Mike Carey, got the most positive votes. If you don't know who they are, Hochuli is the jacked up ref and Carey is the black ref that moves like a robot.

Referees Gerald Austin and Jeff Triplette were voted the worst by coaches, so watch your wagers when these guys are reffing games.
