The Gator Bowl marks the first time that Virginia (+6) and Texas Tech (-6) will face off in a college football game. It should be an interesting matchup between a high-powered offense and a stingy defense.

Red Raiders' quarterback Graham Harrell averaged a prolific 441.1 yards passing per game and had a whopping 45 touchdowns this season. He'll be looking at a defense that gave up just 19 points per game led by Chris Long, the son of former Oakland Raider linebacker Howie Long.

The Cavaliers set an NCAA record by winning five games by one or two points this season and will have to keep the scoring down if they hope to squeak out one more win this year.

The Red Raiders are making their eighth straight bowl appearance and have a record of 4-3 in those appearances.

Neither team has been that great against the spread this season, with Texas Tech going 6-5 and Virginia 5-7.
