Hawks Forward Josh Smith Signs with the Memphis Grizzlies

ESPN.com is reporting that Atlanta forward Josh Smith has signed a five-year, $58 million offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Wow. Why go from a mediocre team to horrible team?

The Hawks still have a chance to get the versatile forward back. They have seven days to match the Grizzlies' offer and said they planned on matching any offer he receives when he became a restricted free agent.

In 2007, Smith averaged 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds, helping the Hawks make the playoffs.
