Will we witness history next week when golfers tee off at the 2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine National Golf Club?

The Wanamaker Trophy will be all shined up and ready to be awarded to the winner of the fourth and final major of the year.

Last year was a historical event which saw the first European in 78 years win the illustrious golf tournament. Padraig Harrington of Ireland won the event by two shots, defeating Sergio Garcia and Ben Curtis on the way. This year Harrington is pegged at +3300 to defend his crown.

With Tiger Woods looking strong again, could we see a record like the greatest winning margin fall? Jack Nicklaus won by seven strokes in 1980. Or how about the lowest 72-hole score of 265 posted by David Toms when he won the title in 2001?

Woods is the favorite to win this year, listed at +175.
