Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found on a Las Vegas street beaten, robbed, and unconscious after a night of patrying.

Despite his numerous injuries, which includes a broken eye socket, Walker could be released from hospital as soon as Tuesday evening.

Police are still gathering evidence on who might have committed the crime, and have been retracing Walker's steps.

"That's one of the first things we do, backtrack what he did and where he stayed," Police Lt. Clinton Nichols said, "We knew there was a large amount of cash taken, and some jewelry."

A Raiders spokesman said the team was in the process of gathering information and had no further comment.
