You know President George W. Bush wanted the Texas Longhorns to win, but the prez was complimentary when 2008 NCAA Basketball Champions the Kansas Jayhawks visited the White House on Tuesday.

"You brought new glory to one of our nation's most storied basketball programs, and you gave your fans all across America one more reason to chant: Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!," Bush said.

Kansas topped Memphis in an NCAA tournament where four No. 1s made it to the Final Four for the first time ever.

"I know you got to be excited about winning an incredibly tough tournament," the president said. "And your fans are excited, and I'm excited to welcome you to the Rose Garden. It's a big deal, as far as I'm concerned, to welcome KU to the Rose Garden."

After the Rose Garden ceremony Bush then led the Jayhawks on a tour of the Oval Office.

The NBA finals start Thursday at 6:05 p.m. ET. Get your NBA odds in the Bodog Sportsbook!
