After signing a multi-fight contract with the Elite XC organization, Ken Shamrock (26-12-2) has been given his first opponent.
March 8 at the Wembley Arena in London, England, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" will fight Robert "Buzz" Berry (11-7-0) in Elite XC presents Cage Rage 25: Bring it On.
Shamrock, who has not won a mixed martial arts match since 2004, was cut from the UFC after losing back-to-back fights against Tito Ortiz (15-5-1).
Berry went 1-2 in the past year, losing by TKO to Neil Grove (5-0-0) and Colin Robinson (9-3-0) after defeating Mark Buchanan (6-5-0) in February of 2007.
If Shamrock defeats Berry, he could face the winner of the March 16 fight between Kimbo Slice (1-0-0) and David "Tank" Abbott (9-13-0). A match against his brother Frank Shamrock (23-8-1) has also been hinted at by promoters, as well as both fighters, who say the fight is being planned for 2009.
