In what was one of the biggest bed-shittings ever, Kent State managed just 10 points in the first half of its game against UNLV, tying for the lowest first-half points scored in NCAA tournament history.
The Golden Flashes, who were actually favored to win, were just 21 percent from the field, missing all of their 3-point attempts and all of their free throws in digging the 31-10 deficit.
Although Kent State was better in the second half, trading baskets with the Rebels was just not enough and they eventually fell 58-71.
Guard Wink Adams finished the game with 17 points and six rebounds and Forward Joe Darger was 4-8 from beyond the arc, finishing with 18 points.
Mike Scott led the Golden Flashes with 14 points.
