Since switching from street-fighting to mixed martial arts, Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson (1-0-0) has come a long way.
Facing MMA legend David "Tank" Abbott (9-13-0) on Saturday Feb. 16 at Elite XC: Street Certified, Kimbo is the -450 favorite in the Bodog Sportsbook even though he's only won one MMA fight so far.
"I feel I have come a long way in a short time in my Street to Elite transition," he said at a recent press conference. "There is a big difference in just fighting some dude and what goes on in Mixed Martial Arts."
Facing Abbott on Saturday night, Slice guarantees that one of them is going to get knocked out.
"For sure, someone is going down and maybe getting knocked out, and that someone is not going to be me," he explained. "The only thing I want to do is win, but the main thing is I want to break something along the way; a chin or jaw, rib, arm, some skin, anything."
