Looking to beat up the state of Oklahoma once again, the Texas Longhorns set out on Saturday in a top-billed match up with the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

The game, which Texas eventually prevailed 28-24, pitted two undefeated rivals against each other just weeks after the Longhorns earned their No. 1 overall ranking with a victory over Oklahoma's other contender, the Oklahoma Sooners.

Leading the way for the victorious Longhorns was quarterback Colt McCoy who threw for two touchdowns and an outstanding 391 yards.

Elsewhere in college football action, the No. 4-ranked Sooners beat up on Kansas State, 58-35, while No. 8-ranked Texas Tech destroyed the Kansas University Jayhawks 63-21.
