Did you see Diego Maradona at the last World Cup of Soccer? He looked high enough to run for Argentinean political office.
Now the former football hero who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup says he's giving up liquor and drugs for good; a pity considering how happy he seems in the photo above.
"For my two daughters, I'm going to continue to the end," the 46-year-old said. "I'm alive and I want to keep living."
This after Maradona ended up in a rehab clinic recently by drinking so much he actually gave himself hepatitis. Who needs Pamela Anderson if you got Jimmy Beam, right?
Maradona's been overweight and addicted to cocaine addiction since retiring in 1997 and has had eight serious hospitalizations since. But that's all behind him says the former striker.
"I no longer drink alcohol and it's been 2½ years since I've done drugs," he said. "I just drink juices."
