In the June 29th issue of ESPN The Magazine, women's tennis icon Maria Sharapova (currently at 7/1 odds to win Wimbledon at Bodog) takes on the role of guest editor of the sports mag's 3rd annual "Revenge of the Jocks" issue. Among other juicy tidbits, the blonde bombshell advises Derrick Mason (Ravens) on how to plan a romantic dinner for his wife; she's got some great tips for MMA fighter Chuck Liddell on how to paint his toenails; and you'll never guess who her pick for best dressed sports personality is? LeBron James.

But what was she thinking in accepting a future dinner date with Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin? Here's how THAT plays out in the guest editor's column:

"Will you come to DC to watch me play next season?" asks Ovechkin.

"What advice are you asking for exactly?" replies Sharapova. "I love hockey. And a few weeks ago, I met this chef, José Andrés, who has several restaurants in DC. So I just might make a trip for dinner and a game."
