After nearly two years and over 30 home runs with the Toronto Blue Jays, Canadian Matt Stairs is headed to Philadelphia in return for a player to be named later.

With over 11 home runs this season the designated hitter from Fredericton, New Brunswick is one of just two Canadians to have registered more than 200 career home runs.

Speculation suggests that heading to Toronto in the swap is Phillies left-handed pitching prospect Fabio Castro.

The official announcement can not be made until Castro clears waivers.

Heading into the final weeks of the season be sure to stick around Bodog for futures and all your baseball betting needs.
