Mike Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion, pleaded guilty to charges of drug possession and driving under the influence on Monday. He faces a maximum of four years and three months in prison and will be sentenced Nov. 19.
On Dec. 29, Tyson was stopped for driving erratically in Scottsdale, Ariz. The arresting officer said he saw Tyson wiping a white substance off the dashboard of his car and noticed Tyson's speech was slurred. Bags of cocaine were found on Tyson and in his car.
This isn't Tyson's first run-in with the law. In 1992, he was convicted of rape. In 1999, he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault charges.
"He has run out of second chances, at least in my book," County Attorney Andrew Thomas said earlier in the year.
