The Phillies, who are listed at +1500 to win the World Series, will return nearly their entire World Series roster. Left fielder Raul Ibanez and right-hander Chan Ho Park are the only notable additions. Ibanez replaces Pat Burrell, while Park figures to give the Phillies some pitching depth.

Ryan Howard led the Grapefruit League with seven home runs through March 27. He had a dreadful April last season and still wound up leading the majors with 48 home runs.

The Braves however, will be relying on defense because they will not be routing opponents with a big-bomb offense anymore.

Atlanta is pegged at +2000 to win the World Series and there is no better way to get off to a good start than by beating the defending champs on opening night.
