On Wednesday Chris Duncan and Ryan Ludwick extended streaks with multi-hit performances, and Yadier Molina went 3-for-3, helping the Cards win 12-7 over Arizona.
Duncan's nine-game streak is tied for the best in the majors, and Ludwick has a hit in all seven of his games. Then there's reigning NL MVP Albert Pujols, among the league leaders with 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored while hitting .342.
Despite losing four of six last season at Wrigley, St. Louis scored 12 runs in each win.
That could mean a tough first start for the Cubs' Sean Marshall. He is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA in his career against the Cardinals and took a win in his only start last season against St. Louis on July 6. For the best in MLB baseball betting head to the Bodog online sportsbook.
