New York has split the first eight games of the season-opening trip, which precedes the official opening of the new Yankee Stadium on Thursday against Cleveland.

They will send Pettitte and his terrific career numbers against Tampa Bay to the mound in an attempt to win the series. Pettitte is 15-4 with a 3.63 ERA in his career against the Rays, including 8-2 with a 3.72 ERA in 12 starts at Tropicana Field.

New York has been able to keep Evan Longoria in check so far in this series. The Rays third baseman is hitting .441 with five homers and 12 RBIs on the season, but is only 2-for-7 with five strikeouts versus the Yankees this week. For all your MLB betting needs, check out the Bodog Sportsbook.
