Josh Johnson will try to continue his dominance of the New York Mets tonight, when the -250 favored Florida Marlins host the middle game of this series.
He’s 6-0 with a 2.05 ERA in eight starts against them, including a 3-0 mark and 1.63 ERA in four outings at Land Shark Stadium.
Johnson will also try to help Florida win for the eighth time in 10 home games after beating New York 2-1 on Tuesday to remain 5 1/2 games behind Colorado for the NL Wild Card.
The Mets have dropped four in a row since Mike Pelfrey allowed two runs in six innings in Friday’s 4-2 win over Philadelphia.
The righthander has struggled through 10 road starts, going 4-5 with a 5.93 ERA. He has an 8.33 ERA while losing his last three. Pelfrey is 1-5 with a 5.36 ERA in nine starts against the Marlins.
