The Cincinnati Reds will attempt to sweep the Washington Nationals on the road for the first time in over two years today when the teams conclude their three-game set.

Micah Owings will do his best to help Cincinnati complete the sweep by getting his first victory in nearly a month.

The righthander is 0-4 with a 5.68 ERA in his last five games, starting four of them.

Owings is 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA in four starts against the Nationals, including a 1-1 record and 2.53 ERA in two starts at Washington.

The Nationals, who fell to 0-8 in extra-inning games on Wednesday, own the worst record in baseball. They have also dropped 24 of their last 29 to fall 19 games behind NL East-leading Philadelphia.

John Lannan will take the mound for the Nationals. Lannan is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in two starts against Cincinnati.
